Creating Your Story.

td6bThere is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you. – Maya Angelou. The untold story so many want to tell, but leave this earth never getting to create the title page. Why have we become so fearful of providing the world the E Hollywood true story of the person inside of the human shell that roams this earth? We have become captive to our own skin; we have become trapped. We must learn to brainstorm the ideas, write the chapters, design the cover, and mass produce the book. The book of who we are; the story of our lives. We have to show those around us what the real story is without fear of judgement, retaliation, or embarrassment. We must regain ownership over our lives. CREATE!

The desire to be oneself is the authentic essence of being human. It is the souls needs to express to the world during its time in the physical form who and what it has set forth to be. Yet we constantly agonize and torture ourselves with creating a version of us that really doesn’t exist. Stop selling yourself short or living through the guidelines of someone else’s story. I think mOOdee has to do some reflecting of his own personal, very personal story. I have to get to work.istock_book_typewriter_writing In this society what looks idea and favored, has become what is automatically right. It’s like a one size fits all plan for living. We take on the life of someone else just too temporarily be in the now of what is, but the real being inside is kicking and screaming to be presented to the world. This reminds me of the “tom girl” who just wants to play sports and be laid back away from the foo fooness of the being a girl. She is constantly forced to comply with wearing a dress and the overly feminine endorsed color of pink; softly killing her true essence of being. Her untold story dies within as she adapts to another autobiography. Here she has sold the rights of her story and gave up the power for someone else to tell the not so true story of her existence.  This is what we do when we hide the true story to be a character among characters in someone else’s book. Live your own story.

It’s funny that as young children we are free to be and act as we please. We played freely and roamed without fear of labeling; developing of introduction to the story we would soon write. Then something happens, we learn what’s acceptable and what’s not; and soon we edit our being that destroys the creative process for the development of our story. Your personal story of YOU. Fight the agony and destroy the shame you have about your story. Be inspired by who you are to show the world the true meaning of who you are. Begin writing your own “Best Seller”.  Make no edits and create no rough drafts; for you know who you are and want you yearn for the world to see. Fearless of what secrets will be explored and what not so honest lies will unfold. Express yourself and be free to write your ticket in life. Living life according to your own wording, pages, and chapters. Let the agony go and let acceptance to be you be found in the story (your story) you create for the world.

Thanks Maya Angelou for giving me something to think about and create.
