I have notice how I spend excessive amounts of money on materialistic things to only prove to others that I have the means to supply my own demands. Who really cares? I have learned that the names on the bottom of my shoes mean nothing and the amount I spend on a pair of jeans to some scream sad. I have put an increasing amount of money, time, and more money into dressing (shopping) for the good of man to still be left confused on why I need these things. I realized that over the years people don’t remember your outfits or what kind of jeans you wore back in high school, but the memories of laughter and love that value more than the new jeans you’re rocking. I decided to put my materialistic behavior to the side and use that money to perfect me. Taking my health and fitness serious will develop a stable inner with a beautiful outer. That is all I plan to be.
When we focus on the overall instead of the minuet; we begin to realize the beauty of beginning naturally you. I have purchased the jeans, sneakers, and jewels while still feeling yucky and tainted inside. All the while knowing that I was using those things to cover up my insides. Why do you torture ourselves just to live in vain? Think about it. We have become walking labels; forgetting that the true label of self is defined by actions and not expensive labels. Those who are healthy mentally and physically rarely care about the shopping sprees like you and me. The need for bags and shoes aren’t important; because they have stripped all their material excuses. Spending money of temporary happiness to resort back to a place of undying uselessness. So I’m making a change! One that will realign my mental state with my physical state; pushing me to think differently. Swapping the labels for lunges and shopping sprees for groceries. It must be done.
To many times we live for the pleasure of others and leave ourselves reckless and jaded. Conducting unhealthy attitudes about our own lives while indulging in the pleasures of others. Stop the tormenting and start cleansing; you’ll be surprised what you’re hiding when you strip away the uselessness. Be free! Be Balanced! Start a new journey only this time being the director, the cast member, and the audience. Stop waiting for the world to applaud your essence and live to cheer your own successes. We must begin to relive and rethink realities and give up the pleasing for false acceptance of who we should be. WAKE UP! Return those jeans, bags, and shoes. Live a more natural and minimal kind of life. Remembering that all we see now isn’t E Hollywood True Stories untold. Strip away the layers of fat that have kept you trapped.
