Too many times we accept the lie we tell ourselves and others about the way we really feel. We glamorize our current situations with “things are great”, “never been better”, or the people’s choice “I’m OK”. Stop! You don’t have to feed the world your constant lie of the reality that you don’t actually live in. We are human and with being that, everyday isn’t always coming up roses. Yes, we can plant the seeds and hope things grow, but with doing all the hard work comes some long and rough days. We have to begin being absolutely honest with ourselves and say “well I’m not alright, but one day I will be” That’s provides a sense of ownership of what’s real with a touch of optimism that will help grow the roses.
Learn to accept your current place and live in the moment and not in what should have been. We must paint the self-portrait that is authentic and true to the essence of what is current. Ask yourself; How am I feeling today? How do I see myself currently? When answering these questions think in the NOW and think back on how many times you have told others; I feel wonderful. The world doesn’t live in wonderland and every situation isn’t a fantasy.
The glass slipper doesn’t exist and there is no magic potion to provide you a happily ever after. Our moods aren’t always filled with fairy dust and cupcakes and reality is sometimes resembles a nightmare. You are not Ok and there is nothing wrong with feeling that. Tell yourself; self I am not ok. Self I will be ok, but I know that my current situation is not my end. Be confident enough to sale your truth and promote without feeling out of the norm.
If its not ok; make it ok! Let’s be honest. How many of us want to be ok, but don’t know what is needed to get us back to the state of everything being just fine. What we need is a shock; not anything involving electricity, but something that will awaken what has been destroying us for so long. It’s time to step away from things that only bring gloom and step into the sunlight.
Better days don’t exist based on temporary happiness. The soil has to be fertilized for new crop to grow. A farmer is his happiest when he has good crop, so why aren’t you making sure your farm (YOU) is ok. Plant those seeds of happiness and water them. Sit back and continue to work until you see growth and don’t become comfortable because you see a small change. The goal is to grow an abundance of happiness. You want to work until you are able to say “I’m ok” and truly mean it.
We live in this world of everything has to be ok and stating it makes the problems go away; they don’t. Changing little pieces of you will make bad days turn good and make even the darkest hour brighter. Stop living in the falsely hood of “I’m ok” and realize that sometimes we aren’t ok and that’s alright.
Mood: I’m not Ok and that’s alright with me.
