January 10th, 2017 “I dare not say FARWELL”

Anxious, as I prepare myself to witness for the last time my President address this nation.

A nation that applauded his victory and many who denounced the sight of a Black man in the White House.

Nervous as the countdown begins to hear and see this wonder of the World who gave us hope to be hopeful in the land of the hopeless.

A man who dreamed past the ideals of King, but beside the mission of his march.

Running and praying that I don’t miss a syllable. I sit and stare as I await this bittersweet moment to begin.

It will not be over; it just can’t be! Eight years of intelligence, fight, and moral justice will be over at 9 pm.

I too scream “four more years” to only hear you say respectfully, “I can’t do that”

President Barack Obama; you have meant more to me than many might know. I won’t use this platform to begin to spill the innocence of my love for the man who changed my world.

I listen to this man of power show us his most vulnerable side. One we saw too many times; because of terror, violence, and injustices of the free.

You won our hearts not just because of the Electoral College called you leader, but because the popular vote proved that you were the person we needed to make things better.

Countless trips around the world, Obama Care, the capturing of terrorists, and witnessing of many world crises; you have handled them all with great dignity and pride.

My eyes begin to fill with water and I feel the flow of mixed emotions against the surface of my countenance.

I don’t want this to end. I wanted him to be my President forever.

A pillar of Honor disrespected by those who he sworn in to power; now have to watch in dismay as the next man waits to make America HATE again.

I know he would want us to have hope and carry on. I recall his quote…..

The future rewards those who press on. I don’t have time to feel sorry for myself. I don’t have time to complain. I’m going to press on.

Our future will be brighter because he gave us hope to fight on. The road was not always straight, but you proved to us that even the bumpiest road will still lead to a successful end.

No matter gender, creed, or color; you loved us all and fought for our equality.

Thanks for making us better people and me a better MAN. Thanks for accepting us all and not just because you had the power at your hands.

Every day you learned from us, but we learned so much more from you.

You gave us free lessons on how to be inspiring, brilliant, innovated, charismatic, competent, and sincere; while loving those you served who labeled you inexperienced, a liar, and one to be fear.

You will forever be the figure of justice in the most unjust situations. You will be the love that cuts the hate. You will be the class that surpasses the trash. You will forever be President Barack Obama the man who said “YES WE CAN” and with your guidance we confidently DID THAT!

I wipe my tears and dare not say goodbye, because I know your presence in America will not be a shadow that turns away and hide.

Hello Barack Obama our LEGENDARY LEADER who will now take his place as a normal living citizen.

Thank You for the eight years of believing and Mr. President #44 we will continue to fight on!

Hello and Good Morning!
