It’s Monday and the reality hits that the weekend is over and the work hustle begins. To start your Monday off, the moments of an eventful weekend still linger and draws in a week full of gossip and BS that you just don’t have time for. This is when music becomes my peace and my guide. Funny thing, i’m in the gym engaging in my normal gym workout and Fantasia’s sultry voice vibrates my eardrum with “No Time For It” an anthem that boldly states ones feeling about having no past, present, or future time to react to nonsense of unfulfilling situations, places, or things.

This anthem of feisty empowerment goes where most songs don’t go; straight to the point with no second guessing its underlying meaning. She just doesn’t have time to put up with mess! So what don’t you have time for? I know there is a grocery list of things I don’t have time for. The question today is for you. What in your life don’t you have time for this Monday morning? What doesn’t bring fulfillment? What has to end before the reality of a new day can begin? In “No Time for It”, Fantasia is chucking the deuces to haters, problems, and gossip. She is spending more time focusing on her shine and using the a hint of Snoop Dogg’s favorite line “Got my mind on my money and money on my mind” that reminds us that the hustle is bigger than anyone trying to steal your shine. We simply don’t have time for it.
So as I move along in my day, I will carry this tune along the way. Sometimes having no time for or giving time to situations and things leaves room for focus and growth. So like Fantasia I will: be out the way, I can’t hang today, there’s nothing fake about it,
