Sunday Sanity

I have heard it many times in the mist of a great Sunday message that ye ought to be prepared for Gods blessing. I have to admit that I have not been preparing myself for what I know and feel is on the way; a blessing so big and anticipated for that I will know exactly how to exist in it. The question is…..Am I prepared? I would have to honestly say, that I am getting there. I have always felt that God would shake my world and place me in situations that would put me exactly where he wanted me to be. I kicked and screamed many times that this life in this place was not my destiny and that I desired greater. Yet, I forgot that greater was always his plan, but I had to be ye prepared, acknowledge my purpose, before the greater destiny was revealed.

Preparation is the most important feature on the way to greater and one that most of us overlook because all we seek is the reward. We look by all the work that has to go into a life that is secure, stable, and greater. As we complain and take cover during this cold winter; we forget that this is also a time of preparation. The trees bare their branches to prepare for growth that comes in the spring. So this winter should be our time to bare it all in preparation for what is coming. Like the beautiful green leaves that grow our beautiful blessings will begin to show. God has it all planned for you, and if you’re not constantly in preparation towards the fulfillment of His plan for you, then now is the season of initial preparation. God’s GREATER is waiting, but we must be confident that we are PREPARED. 

Also in order to be prepared we must constantly rid ourselves of things that are not equally yoked to God’s greater purpose. We can’t travel to greater with negativity, lack of productivity, and hate. Those are things that stop progress and give us a false sense of preparation. Why would we want to pack unwanted items on the way to a life where every need has already been prepared for you. If God has done his work and prepared a greater so great for us, we should make ourselves prepared for what has been prepared.

You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a wallet with holes in it. This is the time to get prepared. START NOW! God will prepare your greater to be bountiful, warmer, and so stable that your feet will glide in security instead of insecurity.

mOOd: Preparing myself for the journey to greater that God has laid out for me! I see it…it’s alright if you don’t because God does!
