Even the most faithful has performed the Tango with their belief in God. We take two forward cross steps away when our prayer request aren’t fulfilled in a timely manner. Pivot turn out of faith to only make two backward cross steps back to God because we figured out that we can’t do it without him. We try to dance the dance on our own without having a trusting partner that will never let us fall. The planning we do is no match for the plan God has already laid out. We confess that we have total faith in God, but constantly go in and out of believing in him completely. Even when we stray God continues guiding us through the difficulty of the dance as a faithful and trusting partner; we just have to believe in the power of his love and ability. We have to stop living a life that says, “I’ll believe God when things are great, but will not trust him for everything else.”
Believing in God is having FAITH in him when things don’t turn out the way we expect. We have this arrogant confidence that God should supply us with whatever we demand. Expecting the outcome to be exactly how we see it and that is not how the blessing of God works. He knows the days beginning and end before we even get to see the dawn of a new day. It is with that we begin to see that our way meets the highway of no way and that God’s way is the ultimate way. We have to expect that what has turned out will be completely alright. Having Faith is being alright no matter how things turn out. Faith is having no fear or lack of believing that God’s expectations are always greater and exactly what we need.
Believing in God also requires us to give up control. Giving up that urge to want to be the be all, the end, and just all in situations that requires us to be nothing at all. Someone who doesn’t have to protest to be all, but is already ALL. Relinquishing control of certain aspects of your life does not mean you are powerless. No! It means that you have belief in God that grants you the power of life to know that things will turn out just fine because you are of his powerful mold. You are a child of God…fearless, powerful, and blessed. God is the developer of our life’s outcome. This is a great starting place for discovering faith in God and letting go of our need to have total control.
The ultimate test of spirituality and love is totally letting yourself go and letting God be who he is…GOD. When we believe completely we begin to let God be God and allow the blessings of his love really guide the way. Stop dancing with God and let him support your footing while activating your journey towards greatness.
