I have found my Spring/Summer track and attitude……
Let me begin with sharing the story on how this Monday’s track is now my favorite track. Picture it (saying this as if it happened years ago), but it only happened a few weeks ago. I was at a day party and the sounds of Lauryn Hill pumped through the speakers, but after a snippet of her song Ex-Factor another beat came in and her voice becoming more upbeat. There was a guy spitting bars, but I couldn’t make out who the guy was. I think I told y’all that I am not a Hip Hop Culture Enthusiast. So being me in only me fashion I yelled over the music..this is a hot remix; when one of my friends stated this isn’t a remix its Drakes new song. Let’s just say I stood correct, but soon after “Nice For What” became my new favorite song.
Everybody get your motha!@#$%&’ roll on…AYE! How I need and must start everyone morning. Ready! Ready to roll through the day and give the world a little more of what it needs. A splash of me. I mean that is what this track is about…is it not? That’s what I took from it. A sense of confidence with a hint of arrogance, because one should never be nice about their accomplishments of dreams that others deemed would never take flight. Drake just give me the permission to raise the question this Spring/Summer….Nice For What?

When you are adult-ing in a way that leaves people wondering how you make it look easy you have something to brag about. Flossing your ability to get the life work done and lay low enough to make a statement, is enough chatter in itself. I like those who keep others wondering while shutting down the game with a quick appearance. Keeping your lane clear and only seeing you in both your rear and side view mirrors. You are only concerned about you.
To many times we put effort into paying attention to what the peanut gallery has to say. Forgetting that their opinions don’t contribute to your life or bring validity to it. At the end of the day it is what we like and how we choose to move that matters most. One will not dictate my exist, because they don’t walk in these shoes on a daily bases. So why be nice when haters have a constant negative taste in their mouth for me. Now I’m going to go ahead and show off.
