Wednesday’s Word

A word that is common to man, but holds a stronger meaning. A meaning that brings awareness to triumph and overcoming of things that tried to block our walk with the sun.
VICTORY (vic·to·ry)
noun: victory; plural noun: victories
  1. an act of defeating an enemy or opponent in a battle, game, or other competition.
    synonyms: success, triumph, conquest, win, favorable result;

    landslide, coup;
    mastery, superiority, supremacy;
    informal walkover, thrashing, trouncing
    “after a season of tough losses, this year’s opening-game victory was extra sweet”

Yesterday I noticed a rainbow in the mist of a storm. A full rainbow extending from one side to another. Amazed by this rare occurrence I almost found myself flipped upside down on the side of the road, because I couldn’t believe the beauty that boldly took position in the ugliness of the storm. It proved to me that although we encounter a storm it is still the beauty of victory that we should hold on to each and every time. Victory is coming! It’s a newness of being washed cleaned of lightning, thundergusty winds, heavy rain and sometimes hail. All the ingredients God needs to step in and show us victory in the form of a rainbow; signify that the sun still shines although you might be in the absence of its light. He shows us that his light is forever and your dark clouds will soon roll away. We all have battles. Storms that seem to last forever; manifesting a spirit of defeat, but it is knowing that Victory is coming that we can observed the beauty of the rainbow standing before us. This is your signal that everything will be ALRIGHT.

I know this is not Music Monday, but I am reminded of Left Eyes verse that talks about the rainbow and prayer. If your confused…. it goes a little like this.
I seen rainbow yesterday
But too many storms have come and gone
Leavin’ a trace of not on God-given ray
Is it because my life is ten shades of gray
I pray all ten fade away-  TLCWaterfalls
mOOd: I have seen the rainbow and my VICTORY is coming!
