I have been slave to time. Not my own time, but the time resistant and demands of others. Usually leaving my needs and comforts left to wither away because there has been no time left for me. Me…the important one. The one that really matters and ultimately in-charge of how I maintain my time, so I thought. Somehow something went wrong. I lost the blueprint of living life and managing my time. My personal time. Personal time to rejuvenate, refocus, and not do one more than that requires my presence and consumes my time. Yet, I have no time left to give to myself. The demands of others have left me without time to sufficiently care for myself. I have begun to demand less and less of my own time, while providing all of my times to others. This is the worst kind of time management known to man…not giving self enough time. Acknowledging that you have many demands on your time and not being able to take care of you. You..the one that matters!
We must make some changes in our schedules. Penciling in self and ensuring that our calendars at least show proof of time spent with self. Your most important love and time consumer…YOU. So here it is…5 pillars of self proclaimed time hacks that will set you on the right track towards occupying your own time.
Five Pillars of Demanding Your Time
Making Yourself A Priority
Scheduling Me, Myself, and I dates
Shut Out the Noise – No Technology Days
Start Doing the things You Have Put Off
Filling Your Time with Things You Want to Do
People won’t understand your need for time. I have heard that it is selfish of a man to want time for himself, yet we give so much of it away to situations that don’t drive our desires and dreams. Don’t give permission for others to convince you that YOU-TIME is not VALUED-TIME, because it is. It’s about you and you are all that matters. Your time on this earth was provided to you in hopes that you would use it in fulfilling your purpose. The time to demand more of your time is NOW. Every second, every minute, every hour of everyday day is a chance to control the time you make for yourself.
