The Direction of Your Thinking!

How are you seeing yourself? What do you think about your life? Are you speaking over yourself with greatness and positivity or our your constantly feeding your downward spiral? Do you believe in the power of the tongue and the mental significance of your thoughts? Have you ever found that your situations become darker every time you think or confess that life has and will always be doomed. Welcome to life with a Southern Mindset. A life were the power of your thoughts and tongue constantly keep you down, when God is only in the work of pushing you up towards greater.  What we think is what we get.

414770dcaa1162d17b966c5b03d14b59I can recall the times I planned for the outcome. I just already knew how things would turn out, but nothing ever seemed to be positive. I’m going to fail, this event is going to be horrible, this trip is going to be boring, I won’t get that job, my presentation is going to suck, etc. My thoughts controlled my outcome, because they were never moving in the same direction that God was. Instead of me following his plan, I was devising my own. A plan full of pit falls, traps, and reroutes. I was moving towards a future of constant failures, because I developed my thinking to be less than and not worthy of the destiny God had already promised. I was developing a Southern Mindset.

I know you are asking yourself, “What is a Southern Mindset?” I am not talking about your geographical location, but the direction of your thinking. Typical we think of a positive thinker as one thinking up, reaching for the top. As a negative thinker is one who thinks downward, never seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and forecasts a storm each new day. Its the direction of your thinking. The Southern Mindset is one that anticipates undesirable outcomes for every situation. Ex. The sun is shining bright today. Southern thinker: It’s going to storm later on, so it’s won’t be a bright day after all. Always finding a way to cloud a sunny day. Mark Tyrrell  states that thinking the worst, expecting failure, seeing downsides where others don’t, even seeing positives as negatives – all convey a kind of insurance policy. “If I expect the worst, then I won’t be disappointed when it happens.” This mindset has to be cured with two tablespoons of forward thinking each and every day.

To develop and receive more sunny days we should:

Pray for thoughts and vision of optimism

Interrupt your negative pattern and develop a new one

Practice Gratitude

Create a positive inner circle

Develop a Positive Daily Mantra

d023f29f744d6a831d0a50fbcb04cbc2--bishop-jakes-godly-quotesEnd it now! Start believing that their is good in every situation and that will shift your thinking. You will begin to elevate yourself to receive greater outcomes and always knowing that greater is coming. See yourself in that dream job, speak yourself into a better financial situation, think that you are already your own boss and seek nothing but positive affirmations in those situations. Seek God first and not your negative thoughts that consume you first and seeks God second. Know that you were set up to be blessed and each and everything that you want should be of a positive and upward heart. Stop speaking like a Southern Thinker and realign your travels with God. Get your free first class ticket to ride in your greatness, knowing that all God wants is a upward thinker who believes in the ability of his greatness. Start with today: I will be great and all that will come will be a setup for my come up.
